How to Install and Operate Your Comfort Glow Electric Fireplace Insert

Installation Instructions

A tape measure
A power drill with a 1/4 inch bit (optional)
Four wood screws (optional)
Follow these steps to install your Comfort Glow electric fireplace insert:
Unpack the insert and check that all parts are included. You should have the insert, the remote control, the power cord, and the owner's manual.
Remove any existing logs, grates, or screens from your fireplace. Make sure the fireplace is clean and free of any debris.
Plug the power cord into a standard 120V outlet near the fireplace. Do not use an extension cord or a power strip.
Carefully slide the insert into the fireplace opening. Make sure it is centered and level.
If you want to secure the insert to the fireplace, you can use the four wood screws provided. Drill four holes in the back of the insert using the 1/4 inch bit. Align the holes with the holes in the back of the fireplace. Insert the screws and tighten them with the screwdriver.
Remove any protective film from the glass front of the insert.
Operating Instructions
You can operate your Comfort Glow electric fireplace insert using either the buttons on the front panel or the remote control. The buttons are located behind the door on the lower right corner of the insert. The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included).
The functions of the buttons and remote control are as follows:

FlameAdjusts the brightness of the flame effect. There are five levels to choose from.
HeaterTurns the heater on or off. The heater has two settings: low (750W) and high (1500W).
TempSets the desired temperature for the heater. You can choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The temperature range is 62°F to 82°F (17°C to 28°C).
TimerSets a timer for the insert to turn off automatically. You can choose between 30 minutes and 9 hours.
LockLocks or unlocks the buttons on the front panel. This prevents accidental changes to the settings.
Care and Maintenance
To keep your Comfort Glow electric fireplace insert in good condition, follow these care and maintenance tips:
Clean the glass front regularly with a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Dust the exterior of the insert with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment.
